(HELICOPTER UNDERWATER ESCAPE TRAINING)
This one-day course is recognized by PSC-Malaysia, PETRONAS and the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Malaysia. Our specially made ditching simulator is portable and modular, making the training more effective and it can be conducted practically anywhere even in a shallow swimming pool of 5 feet.
Who should attend?
All personnel working on or traveling over water in a helicopter such as civilian helicopter aircrew and passengers, military and police aircrew, offshore personnel, etc.
Aim:
To provide pilot, aircrew and passengers traveling over water with the knowledge, skills and confidence to react to and survive an aircraft ditching emergency and sea survival situation.
Contents:
A one-day training programme consists of both classroom and practical sessions in a swimming pool including:
- Hazards of over-water operations
- Safety and survival equipment requirements and utilization
- Pre-ditching considerations and procedures
- Emergency ditching and evacuation procedures
- Aircraft underwater escape training using the MUST
- Water survival skills including life vest use, group formations, cold water survival techniques
- Recovery of water-stranded victims by devices used in helicopter and vessel rescues
